Why we’re opening ours up, and why that shouldn’t be a radical idea.

Don’t you hate it when the very thing you need to help you make a decision is hidden behind a wall of friction?  A contact form, a request to book a demo, or worse; a request to sign a privacy agreement or even pay a setup fee just to see the docs.  All you wanted was to evaluate a product or integration, but instead you’re being funnelled into a sales process before you even know if the thing is right for you.

So do we.

The people we actually build for including developers, product owners and CTOs,  are often the ones blocked from accessing what they need.  You’re on a deadline.  You want to understand how the API works, whether it fits into your stack, and what the data looks like.  But instead of clarity, you’re met with a black box.

It’s a baffling approach, but sadly common. Some companies believe withholding documentation creates a sense of exclusivity or protects their IP.  Others see it as a way to qualify leads before sharing technical details.  But in reality, it creates friction, slows down the decision process, and pushes potential advocates away.

At eyeDP, we’re doing it differently.

Our API documentation is publicly available.  No login.  No NDA.  No sales call required.  No surprises.  Just everything you need to explore, integrate, and make an informed decision.

Why?  Because we know the biggest challenge in a B2B sales cycle isn’t convincing someone the product is good; it’s getting on their roadmap.  And the fastest way to do that is by helping developers and product teams see how it works and try it for themselves.  Good documentation isn’t just a technical resource, it’s an invitation.

We believe the best products should speak for themselves.  So we’re letting ours do just that.  You can dive into our endpoints, explore our data structure, and see exactly how eyeDP works before ever speaking to a human (though we’ve got some friendly ones if that’s your thing).

And we’re not stopping there.

Very soon, you’ll be able to:

  • Self-generate your own API key

  • Access a fully featured sandbox environment

  • Estimate costs instantly

  • View T&Cs

…all without needing a discovery call or scheduled demo.

Because we think customer experience doesn’t start after the contract’s signed, it starts with access.

So if you’re tired of the gatekeeping, mystery, and form-filling just to evaluate a product, welcome to a world where product experience leads, and where the docs are open for business.  Dive in here.
